The first British date on the 1987 Appetite tour was in my old stomping ground. They were excellent, although I did enjoy Faster Pussycat too. It was only 4 more Brit shows before they headlined Donnington the following year, and then in my opinion, it all went downhill...

Very much of the time, Dan Reed did a reasonable job merging Bon Jovi (who he’d opened for) with Prince and Sly Stone. I seem to remember him doing Sly’s “Hot Fun In…” at this show but maybe incorrect. Anyway, he shaved off his locks and that was the end of the career....
