Elbow – Los Angeles 2002
An unbelievable band. It’s a travesty that they’re still relatively unknown in the US. We worked hard with v2 to give them profile over here, but outside of the NPR and Pitchfork-type communities, it was extremely difficult. The first time I met them was when they came and played in the Virgin office lobby. A couple of us took them to LA’s Cat and Fiddle for fish and chips afterwards as they were missing the taste of home. Lovely chaps.
